Welcome

I’m Emily—a writer, podcaster, & storyteller. Most days you can find me with 3 kids in tow, iced coffee in hand, and one earbud tuned into an embarrassingly broad array of podcasts.

My deep hope is that what you find here will equip and encourage you to remember God’s work in your life, study scripture for yourself, and tell your story.

I’m so grateful you’re here!

The best place to stay connected to my latest work is by joining my Substack community—We Have This Hope. When you sign up, essays and episodes will come directly to your inbox. This means the world to me!

And most importantly, I promise to treat your inbox how I want mine to be treated.

Listen here.

We Have This Hope podcast is where you’ll find my collection of stories from people looking backward at the work of God in their lives. Authors, friends, pastors, fashion bloggers, missionaries, mothers—all sharing stories that matter.

The podcast is also home to series-based Bible study content. Currently you’ll find seasons covering the book of James, Ezra/Nehemiah, and Proverbs. Occasional special series are also included like The Spaces We Occupy & Weekly Words.

Work together here.

I’d love to collaborate with you! One of the great joys of being in the writing and podcasting space is the community of creatives working together and cheering each other on. I’d love to be a guest on your show, collaborate via Substack, or simply get to know your work—please reach out. I’m also available for speaking or teaching events—let me know if my work seems to be a match for your upcoming retreat, women’s events, or class.

  • The Second Cup Show

I thoroughly enjoyed my conversation with writer, podcaster, & editor Deidre Braley on her show The Second Cup. This episode I share more about remembering as a spiritual discipline.

  • (in)courage devotionals

Check this devotional I wrote for (in)courage about God’s care for the spaces we occupy. I wrote this after a year of being displaced form our home due to a nasty Oklahoma storm.
